But this article points out that it is difficult to carry out this approach without a redefinition of teacher tasks and time frames. This would be a very interesting article for a faculty discussion.
- Mandated Flexibility: This sounds like an oxymoron, but really this idea is connected to the idea of personalized learning. The ability to carry this out is also limited by the challenges listed in the first article.

Thanks for the info to read Dave. I haven't read the Trouble with Rubrics yet, but I can attest in my current Doctorate Class I have a huge issue with Rubrics. The professor states to use the rubric as a guide to our writing assignments, but when we receive a score below 100% we don't have a clue what part was lacking, as they don't use the rubric or they don't show where we fell on the rubric for each category. Thanks Dave for all you do and share!
